Cultural Arts: American Revolution, Irish Immigrant Journey & STEAM Museum
Developing her unique style of theatre since 1987, Kitty Jones combines her passion for history and love of theatre to create a high-energy, interactive show! Through continual audience participation in the history, dance, improvisation and music, Kitty Jones recounted the turbulent Boston Massacre, Boston Tea Party, and other events that sparked the War for Independence for our 5th graders as Abigail Datchery and fiery Sam Adams. Kitty Jones took our 4th grade students on the journey of an Irish immigrant following the path of immigrant, Maggie McLaughlin and her sister, Annie as they made their way across the Atlantic. Click HERE for more details and photos.
Our students in all grades, Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, were able to experience an interactive lesson in STEAM by visiting a STEAM Museum in our very own gym. Exhibits were designed to give the students hands on experience of science, technology, engineering, arts and math concepts. Click HERE for more details and photos.
