New Family Visitation - Thursday, September 1st

On Thursday, September 1st all kindergarten students and only those students who are NEW to Glenwood in grades 1 through 5 may stop by Glenwood for a few minutes between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m. for a meet and greet with their new teacher and to see their new classroom.

Back-to-School Night - Thursday, September 15th

Back-to-School Night will be as follows: grades 3, 4 and 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and grades K,1 & 2 from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. The half hour in between will be for transition and to stop by the gym for PTO and district information. All other teachers who don't teach a grade level class, such as our special education teachers and specialists, will be available in their rooms from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities 2016-2017 OPEN

Volunteer Sign-up for 2016-2017 is now open. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved that suit a variety of talents, interests and availability. We invite you to volunteer on as many committees as you’d like. Don’t be shy – be a volunteer!

VS 2016/2017 - Reserve Your Favorite Song NOW

It's never too early to start planning for the Variety Show!  If you would like to reserve your favorite songs for next year's Variety Show, please send in your request now. All songs are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. We will not allow duplicate of songs, please secure your favorite songs to avoid disappointment. Send your request to varietyshow@glenwoodpto.net

The PTO Has A Lot To Be Thankful For!

This week, we'd like to thank...

          • The 2015/16 Executive Board including co-Presidents - Sharyn Stein Berezin and Kim Walls, VP of Communications - Sock Wang, VP of Fundraising - Jumana Culligan, co-VPs of Programs - Debra Nevas and Rena Carlton, Treasurer - Heather Finan, Assistant Treasurer - Swati Shah, Recording Secretary - Christine Cofer, and Past President - Maria Powar.  Without you Glenwood would not be the same. Please accept the thanks and appreciation of the whole Glenwood Community for all you do for Glenwood School and for our children.
          • The "Behind the Scenes" Communications Team guided by Sock Wang and led by Allison Shaw, we appreciate how easy you all make it look -- we know it took time and effort.  We thank Sock, Allison, Beijing He, Maria Patti, Fiona Feng, Christine Kong, Diane Deng, Lisa DelaCruz, Janet Dessart, Sandy Park, Claude Munne, Ani Stone, Greg Brewer, Lisa Haggerty (for all those inspirational bulletin boards), and Elizabeth Abergel.
          • All the parent volunteers who have stepped up throughout the school year.  Every bit of help counts and is appreciated!
          • Dr. Jasin and all the Glenwood faculty and staff who have made this year special for the Glenwood children.

We would like to thank the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills for the wonderful grants they awarded to Glenwood for some upgrades and advancements to our school! In 2016, we received $11,128.53 to fund the following:
